Registration for Toronto includes:

• Seventeen iconic historic organs in recital across the city of Toronto
• Seven recital venues within walking distance of the festival hotel. All others are easily accessible via Subway/Bus/Streetcar
• A 5-day TTC pass providing transportation anywhere in the city.
• Meals include one breakfast (Tuesday) at the OHS Member meeting. Receptions and the July 4th celebration at the SteamWhistle Brewery
• Festival Handbook with instrument pictures, stoplists and well-researched essays on each instrument
• Convention magazine with recital programs, bus schedules, Biggs Scholar information and more

Optional Transportation Package

Toronto is a walkable city.  It also boasts a stellar public transportation system with subways, buses and streetcars.  Each venue of the festival is either within walking distance or a short ride on the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) services.

Full registration packages include a 5-day TTC pass.

The Festival committee is providing travel buddies for those who wish a little guidance on navigating the system.  We will have ambassadors at the relevant subway stops to direct you to the proper exit(s).  And every festival attendee will receive a TTC guide map to assist you.

The Optional Transportation Package includes return bus service from the hotel to each recital venue.   Driving in downtown Toronto during the summer road construction season presents many challenges.  The schedule for using this service will require extra time.  While we are creating a schedule that will be timely, we cannot guarantee that every trip will arrive at the venue prior to each recital.

You will want to consider the following Toronto OPTIONAL DAYS:

• PRELUDE 1 - As the country celebrates Canada Day, we visit three remarkable venues.  The 1993 installation of Schoenstein & Company at Islington United Church built in 1949 by stone masons who were brought to Canada from Scotland.  We also visit St. Patrick’s in Markham, Ontario where Orgues Létourneau Opus 111 (2008) resides.  This instrument with its 25 ranks and over 1500 pipes is definitely on the “must-hear” list of instruments. Finally we come to St. John’s Norway Anglican Church.  Here is a Geo S Hutchings, Opus 426 (1896) rebuilt by Stuart Organ Co., Opus 30R (1978) a charming instrument in a quaint suburban church.
  
  
• PRELUDE 2 - Travel in restored 1920s coaches over the rails of a century-old branchline that once connected Hamilton with Barrie and Collingwood. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the vintage locomotive as you travel through the rolling countryside on the South Simcoe Railroad.  A boxed lunch is included with registration.
  
  
• POSTLUDE – Hamilton Excursion.   Drive west along the shores of Lake Ontario to the Niagara Escarpment.  Lunch and an afternoon wine-tasting experience are buffeted by three organ demonstrations, including the R.S. Williams & Sons Co (1904) installation at the Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Dundas, Ontario, the Karn-Warren Organ Co (1913/2008) at St. James Anglican Church and the Wallace & Company Opus 78 (2018) tracker installation at the Ancaster Canadian Reformed Church.

Registration for the Prelude and Postlude days remain available and open until May 15th.

Please note — for the Postlude day, registration is limited to the first 90 people due to space limitations at the restaurant and the winery.

Unfortunately, owing to contractual obligations regarding the confirmation of buses and refreshments, registrations for these days submitted after the 15th of May cannot be honored.
