The instrument was originally installed in the First Baptist
Church of Terrell, Texas.
It is believed that its purchase was funded at least in part by a grant
from the Carnegie Foundation.
Sometime in the 1970s it was removed from the church and transferred to
the Terrell Heritage Museum,
housed in what previously was the Carnegie Library building, and there
it was stored for an extended period.
It has now been roughly reassembled in what was formerly the auditorium
of the Library and is somewhat playable.
The tops of several of the non-speaking facade pipes have been cut off
to fit the ceiling height.
