Notes
The organ is an
original installation, and was installed new for Estey by Balcom and
Vaughan of Seattle, WA.
The B&V opus list gives the year as 1931. The Estey opus list gives
the year as 1930, however the Estey list
may be the year contracted. The organ cost $6,200.00.
The Harp Damper
reversible toe stud operates a set of Thomas Orchestral Bells located
atop the console
and playable from the Great. Their compass is 25 notes from c 37 thru c
61. The chimes stoptablet is located
with the Swell stops, but the chimes are only playable from the
Great. The Pedal 8' Gedeckt is from the 16' Bourdon,
but there are no extension pipes, so it only plays for 20 notes.
The pistons are set
from a setter panel to the left of the manuals. A two-position toggle
switch is moved to the up [set] position.
Three numbered buttons for the Swell and two for the Great may be
pressed, and then the stop tablet may be
positioned on or off to lock-in the setting. The toggle switch is
then returned to the down [comb] position.
