Notes
The organ is an
original installation. It is installed in a common chamber at the
front, center of the room above the reader's platform. The console is
placed in a separate room to the side of the auditorium, making it all
but impossible for the organist to hear the balance and blend of the
organ.
The Great chest is placed in front of the Swell chest, and the Pedal
chests are diatonically divided on either side of the manual chests.
Oddly, the Pedal 16'
Bourdon is marked with opus number 2151 which was a 1924, II-manual
organ with player listed for the Lyon & Healy Studio in Chicago,
IL. In 1937, it was enlarged by Estey as their opus 2798 to be a
III-manual organ for the Presbyterian Church in LaGrange, IL.
