A Roosevelt organ was installed in 1874 and Skinner Op. 187, a IV/29, was installed in 1912, with 7 ranks added in 1917. Op. 1485 was installed in 1968, at which time the chancel was remodeled and a movable altar moved out in front of the rood screen. A Swell Vox Humana was added by Lawless & Associates in 1979. That same year, a Trompette en Chamade was added by Jack Steinkampf and, in 1982, a Solo division was installed by the E. M. Skinner Organ Co., of East Kingston, New Hampshire. The Tuba, French Horn and English Horn added in the Solo were from the IV/33 Skinner Op. 335 installed in 1921 in the Boston residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Farnham Greene. At this time, the three-manual console was enlarged and the organ was revoiced by Roy Perry. The console was destroyed by fire and was replaced by the Ernest M. Skinner Co. 1983-84 with a new four-manual console. Organ Historical Society Database: https://pipeorgandatabase.org/OrganDetails.php?OrganID=10768 |
