Notes: St. Luke's Church was incorporated in 1868 at what was then the very remote location of Van Ness and Pacific. The building was destroyed in the Great Earthquake of 1906 and the present structure was opened in 1910. A 3/13 Hope-Jones, complete with a horseshoe-shaped console, was installed at that time and served until the present organ was installed in 1960.

The organ is installed in one large chamber to the right of the choir, with the Swell double-decked over the Choir division and the Great in front of the Choir shutters; the Positiv is exposed in front of the Great and the arch fronting the chamber. The horizontal Pontifical Trumpet is installed above the west entrance.
