Notes: The organ was installed in a functional display "above the stage and across the width."  Vernon de Tar played the dedicatory January 10, 1956.  The building was later sold to the Manhattan School of Music.

The instrument was damaged by a leaky roof in 1969; after a second leak in 1982, a substantial amount of pipe work was replaced by Anthony Bufano.  He made other tonal alterations after yet another roof leak in 1988.
