The original organ was 3-manual Austin Op. 76 installed in 1896.  In 1908, Skinner installed 7 new ranks and a chest.  This was replaced in 1935 by Op. 933.  In 1966, Op. 933 was replaced by Moller Op. 11016, a IV/124.  The organ was moved to the chapel of Lincoln Christian College, Lincoln, IL, "by a builder from Quincy, Illinois," without the combination action and the installation was never completed as initially envisioned.  The organ is located on a platform halfway up the wall immediately behind the stage of the ultra-modern building constructed in 1970.  There is currently no facade, so the organ is presently screened by a heavy red curtain.  Plans call for a facade of polished aluminum 16' Prestant pipes.  Schneider Pipe Organs finished the first phase of the organ renovation in 1995, which consisted of completely re-wiring the organ and rehabilitating the console with Harris knobs and coupler tablets, as well as a Peterson MSP-1000 combination action.  Approximately sixteen additional ranks are prepared for.
