Notes: The instrument was completely rebuilt mechanically in 1973 by Ronald C. Bishop of Maplewood, NJ. The original four-manual console was retained with additional mechanical accessories. Fifteen ranks from Aeolian-Skinner Op. 991 at the former Broadway Tabernacle, New York City, were incorporated into the existing instrument. Certain original stops (Harp, Celesta) were removed from the Choir division to make room for the addition of a new wind chest to accommodate five additional ranks. These ranks were supplied through the Hartman-Beaty Organ Co., Englewood, N.J. The instrument was completely reregulated and revoiced by Larry Nevin of Vermont, who was formerly in the voicing department of Aeolian-Skinner. The console was made movable. Around 1991 the organ was moved to the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans, Massachusetts. Organ Historical Society Database: https://pipeorgandatabase.org/OrganDetails.php?OrganID=25022 |
