Notes: The organ was installed as Skinner Op. 293 in 1921.
In 1929, Skinner added some stops, tonally refinished the others and
added a new console as Op. 293-A, utilizing parts from the 1903 4-manual
Hutchings
Op. 1550 from Madison Square Presbyterian, whose congregation merged
into First Presbyterian in 1919. The article said "One of the new
features is a Willis pedal board, the measurements of which, Dr. [William
C.] Carl
believes, meets the wants of the organist better than any other designed.
Another mechanical feature is a control by which the adjustable combinations
can all be locked by the organist, thus preventing them from being changed."
